The US readies to escalate attacks on Iran

Western media reports currently indicate an increasing deployment of US forces to the Gulf. It is also reported that Iran anticipates there will soon be an escalation of US/Israel military attacks.

In South Korean, President Lee is under continued pressure from Trump to join in the conflict. Huge protests recently forced Lee to announce the country would not send troops, but Lee has been exploring other ways for South Korea to actively assist the US war on Iran.

In this video, Professor Mohammad Marandi discusses these issues in an interview with Dae-Han Song.

Professor Mohammad Marandi is an Iranian-American academic, intellectual and political analyst. He is a Professor of English literature at the University of Tehran. He offers an extremely insightful perspective on the current situation of the war against Iran - an invaluable alternative from the West’s mainstream media.

Dae-Han Song is a writer and organizer based in South Korea, a nation technically still at war. He works at the International Strategy Center in Seoul, and focuses on building people-to-people solidarity and challenging the logic of militarism and empire on the Korean Peninsula. He is actively involved in movements for peace, reunification, and against the presence of foreign military bases. He is also an associate of the Korea Policy Institute. He is also a member of the international No Cold War collective.
